Sharp Ready for Rhinos Test

Peter Sharp admits the stakes will be huge tomorrow evening as Hull FC take on Leeds Rhinos at The Kingston Communications Stadium (kick-off 8pm).

Garreth Carvell (shoulder), Gareth Raynor (hamstring) and Paul Cooke are expected to return for The Black and Whites in the crucial Yorkshire derby.

Hull FC Head Coach Sharp said: "It's a big challenge and a lot is up for grabs because we know we have a chance to skip two points clear of Leeds, the stakes are enormous."

Some of the games brightest stars will be in action in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd in East Yorkshire, Sharp has pin-pointed the arm wrestle between some of Britain's finest props as a key area.

"I think a key part of the game will be the opposing props, whoever wins the forward tussle has a fair chance of laying the foundations as both teams have excellent backlines," Sharp added.

"With six rounds remaining it's a tough road home and they've got a tough road home but Friday's game will be a major bearing on that outcome.

Although Leeds go into the game on the back of three straight defeats Peter Sharp is well aware that the Rhinos will travel to The KC Stadium intent on reversing their recent form.

Sharp explained: "Leeds have lost their last three games, but they are a quality side and a professional outfit and they're going to do their business like they do week in week out."

"We are hoping to have a few boys back for this game, we missed some senior players at The Stoop and injuries are something we have to come to terms with from time to time throughout the season. We've had a fair run in the middle of the season, and we've picked up a few bumps and bruises recently.

"Injuries can give an opportunity to our young blokes and we've got plenty to choose from to see how they go. This club is built very much on local juniors, we've got lots of talented young players."

Tickets are available for Friday's fixture by visiting the ticket office at The Kingston Communications Stadium or calling the Hull FC ticket hotline on 0870 837 0004.
