Sharp pleased to create points cushion over London

Featherstone head coach Jon Sharp was delighted with their win over top four rivals London Broncos at the weekend.

Chris Ulugia scored a brace of tries as Rovers won 38-18 at the Big Fellas Stadium, moving them four points clear of fourth placed London in the Championship table.

Sharp said: “I was really pleased with how we played. It was a huge result for us.

“Mathematically it was an important game for the club because we have now got a bit of space between ourselves and the chasing pack.

“London are a strong side and for us to put four points between ourselves and them, at this early stage in the season, is crucial.”

Featherstone take on runaway league leaders Hull KR on Good Friday.
