Sharp: We didn’t deserve to lose

Featherstone boss Jon Sharp felt his side were unlucky to lose against London Broncos on Sunday.

Rovers took an early 12 point lead, but the Broncos fought back to eventually secure a narrow 36-30 success and maintain their grip on second place in the Championship.

Sharp said: “We played some decent rugby against a great London outfit. The only negative I am able to take away is that we got beat.

“We have come off the back of playing both Leeds and Swinton and then we have had to travel down to London. We were able to put on an almost perfect performance, which is a credit to the players.

“I thought our lads did great having to deal with three games in the space of nine days, especially coming up against a full-time team in London, who have had time to rest and more time to prepare for our visit.

“It was a real shame that we did not come away with the two points we perhaps deserved.”
