Sharks to consider Gordon punishment

Cronulla bosses say they will consider further action against winger Isaac Gordon after he pleaded guilty to common assault against his partner.

Gordon was given an 18 month good behaviour bond after appearing at Sutherland Local Court on charges he assaulted his pregnant girlfriend in September.

A more serious charge of assault causing actual bodily harm was withdrawn.

A statement from Cronulla said: “Since that time the Sharks have provided on-going support and assistance to both Gordon and his ex-girlfriend.

“The Sharks will consider the courts judgment and make any further decisions regarding disciplinary action in due course. No further statement will be issued or comment made until such time.”
