Sharks net Gordon for 2013

test

Cronulla Sharks have completed the signing of Michael Gordon for the 2013 NRL campaign.

Gordon, 28, will leave current club Penrith Panthers at the end of the season. He has become a fan favourite whilst in Penrith, with his ability to score from anywhere on the field and his consistent goalkicking.

For most of his career Gordon was a winger but in 2010 due to injury problems at the club he was moved to full-back, a position he then made his own.

Panthers general manager Phil Gould showed his disappointment in the Australian media: “It’s sad to lose a player of Michael’s calibre, and such a wonderful person.”

The currently injured Gordon represented New South Wales in the 2010 State of Origin series.
