Setaimata Sa seeks Hull FC starting spot

Setaimata Sa has revealed that he is determined to win a starting place in the Hull FC side.

The former New Zealand international has not long since returned from an underwhelming spell in rugby union, and made an appearance from the bench for Lee Radford‘s side last week.

“Fixing a first-team spot is definitely one of my long-term aims,” Sa told the Hull Daily Mail.

“It’s healthy here that we’ve got such good players and the back-room staff. It makes you compete and try and work hard to get that starting spot which is good.

“If I get that start, I know I’m doing something right.”

The centre played as a backrower in last week’s game against Widnes, and is ready to play anywhere in the team if needed.

“I’ll play where I’m needed and I’m just trying to bring some impact on with me from the first drive and first tackle when I’m required,” he added.
