Keighley have handed a new two-year deal to Serbian back-rower Jason Muranka.

Muranka, 29, joined the Cougars from Doncaster ahead of the 2019 campaign, and he has made 15 appearances this season, scoring five tries.

Head of Rugby Gary Moorby said of the new contact for Muranka: “Jason is a model professional.

“He has impressed this season with his high work rate and scoring some great tries.

“We see it as a real bonus that he has agreed a two year deal.”

The Serbian international, who has four caps for his country, has previously played in the UK for Dewsbury, Gloucestershire and Newcastle.

He played for Serbia in their 2021 World Cup qualifying games against Spain and Russia.
