Seeds to rest Miller

Whitehaven coach David Seeds will rest Spencer Miller in an attempt to help the second row forward recover from an ongoing shoulder complaint.

Carl Sice will also be monitored before any final decision is made on his inclusion after he suffered a dead leg against Keighley.

Seeds said: “London have picked up some good signings – blokes like Lamont Bryan – and that’s given them a real boost.

“They’ll come up here with all guns blazing after last week’s result, and we know that if you don’t turn up against teams that don’t have any pressure on them, then you can end up getting burned.”

London SkolarsDylan Skee, who racked up 24 points in Skolars’ 44-22 win over Rochdale, said: “We went behind against Rochdale and in previous weeks we’d have stayed behind, but we stuck together well.”

The former ‘Haven half back added: “Although it’s great to get our first win, our squad has the potential to be doing better.

“The main thing for us this week is to put in another good 80 minute performance. If we do that, we could come away with a win.”
