Sculthorpe parachute jumps for Prescott

Paul Sculthorpe will officially launch Saints new home shirt for 2010 when he undertakes a parachute jump with the Steve Prescott Foundation.

Thanks to a contribution from home shirt title sponsors Frontline Bathrooms, the former back-to-back Man of Steel will hurl himself from 14,000 feet with Britain’s Finest Parachute Display Team the Red Devils.

Based in Yorkshire, Frontline Bathrooms were collar sponsor of Saints’ home and away jerseys in 2009 and have partnered with the club for Super League XV – the last at Knowsley Road.

They are the UK’s leading importers and distributors of quality bathroom and shower equipment to the high street bathroom showroom and plumbers merchants. They hold substantial stocks of 6000 products featured in its purpose built 85,000 sqft distribution centre, Green Lane Featherstone.

The firm has a continued commitment to offer a next day service which is a unique selling point to its customers and to the consumer.

Michael Sammon from Frontline Bathrooms said: “As an official partner of the Rugby Football League we are excited about increasing our commitment to Rugby League in 2010 by securing a main shirt sponsorship deal with one of Super Leagues leading clubs. Our strategic approach to how we market our brand is now an intrinsic part of our future growth.

“Making Frontline front of mind with consumers through a range of marketing and brand activities like key sponsorship with the RFL and St Helens will help raise awareness of the Frontline Bathroom Catalogue and bring further credibility to our Frontline brand.

“We’d like to wish the Saints players and coaching staff all the best for the forthcoming season and good luck to Scully in his sky dive, it’s for a great cause.”

The jump is part of a series of events to raise money for the Steve Prescott Foundation who will in turn support the RFL Try Assist Fund and the Christie Cancer Hospital.

Martin Blondel Secretary of the Steve Prescott Foundation added: “The Foundation would like to thank Frontline Bathrooms and the Saints for their generosity in allowing this to happen and also donating a generous fee to the foundation.

“Scully has been immense for Steve, he was a leader on the Pitch and now is showing the same qualities off the field. It shows that our Charity is now getting assistance from top companies like Frontline Bathrooms and this support will help the Charity to really make a difference in 2010 to the people less fortunate than ourselves.”

The jump will take place at the Langar Airfield in Nottinghamshire on January 19.
