Sculthorpe lands Widnes trial

Former Wigan, Wakefield and Bradford Danny Sculthorpe prop will begin training with Championship side Widnes ahead of the new season.

Sculthorpe, 31, was released by the Bulls at the end of last season without having played for the club after injury ruled him out for the whole of 2010.

However, with Widnes coach Denis Betts looking to strengthen his front-row options, Sculthorpe will train with the Vikings with the view to signing a deal for 2011.
