Scott Wheeldon moves south to London

Scott Wheeldon will be a London Bronco for the remainder of the season.  

Wheeldon has signed for Rob Powell’s side from Hull KR, and is a handful of players playing in Super League who have turned out for both the Robins and Airlie Birds.

He played in the Super League Grand Final when Hull FC went to Old Trafford, losing to St Helens in 2006.

Wheeldon said: “I’m really happy to come down to London and be given the chance to play some rugby and better my career. It will be good to get some game time under my belt and play.”

Head coach Powell stressed the importance of signing Wheeldon, and explained he was struggling in the forwards department.

He said: “We have been a bit thin on props all season. Scott provides a lot of experience having played over 120 Super League games for both Hull clubs.”
