Scott Dureau remains a Dragon until 2015

Scott Dureau has committed his future to the Catalan Dragons.

The 25 year-old has signed a three year deal that will keep him in the south of France until 2015.

A member of last season’s Super League Dream Team, Dureau has scored 353 points in 36 appearances for the Dragons since his arrival last year.

And the scrum half insists the club has a bright future ahead.

Dureau said: “The club is going forward and has improved a lot over the past two years. I am very happy to stay at the Dragons, I feel good here both on and off the field.”

Coach Trent Robinson, disappointed with losing Setiamata Sa to London Irish at the end of the season, says Scott’s extension is good news for the club.

Robinson said: “Our improvement as a club has coincided with Scott developing as a player. This is a strong sign for the future of the club with one of the best half backs in Super League committed to the continued development of himself and his investment in French culture.

“He is a great example for the future youth in France.”
