South Wales Scorpions have confirmed that Chris Leyshon has rejoined the club from Welsh rugby union outfit Aberavon Wizards.

The 20-year-old centre played 27 games for the Scorpions between 2012 and 2014, before heading north to Leeds Beckett University for a season.

“After a little spell in union, I’m looking forward to getting stuck back into playing rugby league,” he said.

“I’ve missed playing and I’m keen to get started into the pre-season, leading up to what’s hopefully going to be a promising year.”

Mike Connor has also re-signed for the club.

“I’m happy that I’ve re-signed,” Connor said.

“I can see that new coach Phil Carleton is planning a lot to move the club forward and 2016 is set to be an exciting year for the Scorps.”
