Scorpions sign Duffy from All Golds

South Wales Scorpions have confirmed the signing of Izak Duffy from Gloucestershire All Golds.

The 26-year-old prop is orignally from Brecon, and came through the ranks of Welsh student rugby league.

“I’m really excited to be joining South Wales Scorpions,” he said.

“After hearing from Phil Carleton (Scorpions’ new coach) about his plans for the future and the sort of culture he wants at the club it was a no brainer for me.

“I was coached by Phil at Cardiff Demons and UWIC, so I have a huge amount of respect for him as both a coach and a person.

“I’ve enjoyed my time at the All Golds and have made some great friends in Gloucester but as a proud Welshman the opportunity to be playing back on the correct side of the bridge was one that I couldn’t turn down.

“I can’t wait to get started and rip in to pre-season training.”
