Sa’u: This is uncharted territory

Salford centre Junior Sa’u says the Million Pound Game is not where the Red Devils want to be but they “just have to get on with it”.

Salford head east tomorrow to take on Hull KR in the relegation decider.

“It is not a place where we want to be but we just have to get on with it,” Sa’u told Love Rugby League.

“It is a huge game for us and it means survival so we know how much is at stake on Saturday.”

The Red Devils eased to a comfortable 42-14 victory away to Batley Bulldogs in their last match. This was the perfect response after defeat to London the week before, according to Sa’u.

“It was good to get that confidence back after the disappointing result against London,” the Kiwi said.

“We knew what we needed to do and it was key that we got back to the drawing board and prepared the best that we can.”

Sa’u insisted Salford are out for revenge after losing to the Robins at the AJ Bell Stadium a few weeks ago.

“They come down and beat us at our home recently, which is in the back of our mind,” he said.

“The mood has been really upbeat this week and everyone is looking forward to the match.”
