Sarsfield and Stephens charged after clash

Swinton forward Matt Sarsfield and North Wales‘ Simon Stephens have been charged with Grade B offences by the RFL disciplinary.

Sarsfield, a close season signing from Huddersfield, was charged with punching, while Stephens was charged with committing a headbutt in the same incident.

Stephens has the option to submit an early guilty plea in relation to the charge before 11am on Tuesday.

Swinton won the game 26-18 in the last 16 of the Northern Rail Cup.
