Sarginson to link up with Wigan pre-season training camp

Dan Sarginson is flying in to link up with Wigan for a pre-season training camp on Sunday.

Sarginson, 24, spent 2017 with Gold Coast Titans but a return to the Warriors on a two-year deal was confirmed earlier this week.

He told the club’s official website: “Waney (Shaun Wane) gave me the option to spend a few days with my family when I get back but I told him that I wanted to jump straight into it.

“I want to get around the boys and get into the swing of it. I’ll see my family over Christmas and I’m really looking forward to that but I want to get a good 7 to 10 days in before then to make sure I’m raring to go in February.”

Born in Australia, Sarginson has won three caps for England and scored 25 tries in 82 appearances for Wigan between 2014 and 2016.

  1. What a shambles Wigan warriors are at the minute the fans are crying out for a world class centre and we get serg back and not only that we need a ruff forward but there’s no movement there we also need a attacking coach to but that’s not happening why on earth are we still messing around with John winder for god sake Wigan get your fingers out or your going to lose a lot of support because everyone is fed up that I talk too we let Matty smith go last season that turned out to be a big mistake in my opinion we lost sol in so games and we never won but look back to the season before when he didn’t play and Matt to change we never lost I’m convinced if he was with us last season we would of done the double again even though we was poor but so was every one else that’s what made cas look good and they got found out in the final off an average Leeds team but I think Leeds will win the lot in 2018 unless Wigan Warrington and saints pull their fingers out
