Sandercock pleased with Hull KR’s achievements

Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock is very pleased with the way his squad have come through their 2013 campaign.

The Robins have been dogged by injury and controversy this season, with many observers publicly wondering if Sandercock was up to the job in the early stages of the year.

But the Robins rallied to reach the top-eight, an achievement Sandercock does not believe anyone should take lightly.

“We’re pretty happy, because we’ve had a fair bit of adversity to deal with this season,” the coach told Love Rugby League.

“We’ve had a few controversial things happen and a massive injury toll.

“Plus out of the top eight sides, I dare say we spend the least on staff, the least on players and the least on resources.

“So for us to make the top-eight is a good achievement.”
