Sandercock hopeful over Eden

Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock says full-back Greg Eden should return for next weekend’s game against Wakefield.

Eden, 23, sat out Sunday’s win over Bradford with a broken toe, but Rovers recorded their first win of the season in his absence, defeating the Bulls 16-0.

Sandercock said: “Greg broke his toe last week and we were pretty confident that he’d be able to play today. But at training on Saturday he wasn’t right. We’re hopeful that he’ll be okay for next weekend though.

“It’s good to get a win, it’s good to keep a side scoreless and we’re pretty happy with that.

“The conditions weren’t great and our execution still isn’t quite where we need it to be, but overall I thought we dominated the game and it was good to get the win. All of the boys are working hard and they’ll continue to do so as we still have a long way to go.”

Eden had previously played in all five of Hull KR‘s Super League matches so far, scoring one try.
