Sandercock disappointed for supporters
Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock admitted he was extremely disappointed for the club’s supporters after they saw Rovers suffer their heaviest ever defeat in Super League.
Rovers were crushed 84-6 by league leaders Wigan, who ran in 15 tries in a long afternoon for the home fans at Craven Park.
Sandercock said: “Everything that could have gone right went right for Wigan and everything that could go wrong for us went wrong.
“The boys will learn a massive lesson in how to play rugby league.
“They named a full strength backline and we knew it would be tough. Everything they did turned to gold.
“We are extremely disappointed but we won’t be letting this linger. We are extremely disappointed for our supporters.”
The Australian bemoaned the Easter schedule ahead of the weekend, although Rovers did at least manage to claim local bragging rights with a derby victory over Hull FC on Friday.
