Sam Kasiano: Nou Camp the best stadium I’ve played in

Catalans forward Sam Kasiano has played in many great stadiums, but none of them compare to the Nou Camp.

The Dragons made history on Saturday as they beat Wigan 33-16 in the first ever rugby league match to be played at the Nou Camp – the iconic home of FC Barcelona.

A Super League attendance record was broken for a regular season match with 31,555 people watching the historic clash.

Speaking after the game, Kasiano said: “It was unreal to play there, it’s mad to think the greats like [Lionel] Messi and [Luis] Suarez play here.

“This is the best stadium I’ve played in. It’s unbelievable. I’ve played at ANZ, Suncorp is amazing, Wembley and Old Trafford but this one is the best.

“There were 30,000+ in the Nou Camp and you could hear them too, so it was great.

“Wigan were very tough. They gave it to us in the first game over in England but we needed this win and we got it, so I’m happy.”
