Croad said: “We have had to fight off competition from Super League clubs for Barlow’s signature so it is very satisfying that he has agreed to stay with his hometown club where he is clearly very happy.
“Sam has ambitions to play Super League, but the right deal has not come through as far as he is concerned.”
Croad was also delighted to keep hold of Bowman for another season.
He said: “Anthony has made good progress while he has been here and I know Karl (Harrison) sees him developing as a centre. He is big, strong and fast and gets involved in the game and will be a very big asset to the squad.”
