Salford’s Gavin Bennion goes on loan to Swinton

Salford forward Gavin Bennion has joined Championship side Swinton on a one-month loan.

Bennion, 24, moved to the Red Devils from Rochdale in the off-season and played in the friendly against the Lions last month.

The Wales international played for Swinton in 2013 and 2014, before having spells with Featherstone, Halifax and the Hornets.

Swinton open their Championship season with a trip to Toulouse this weekend before home games against Rochdale and Batley.
