Salford utility back Ed Chamberlain has joined London Broncos on a four-week loan deal.

Chamberlain, 24, is yet to feature for the Red Devils this season and hasn’t played a first grade game since suffering an injury in the Challenge Cup against Rochdale last March.

He was previously with Widnes, making 22 appearances, before playing 15 times for the Red Devils after joining them midway through 2018.

Broncos head coach Danny Ward said: “With recent injuries to some of our outside backs, Ed will provide excellent cover and bring some much needed competition for places to the team.

“We’ve come up against him before at Salford and I’m sure he’ll do a great job for us.”

Ward and Salford coach Ian Watson were assistants for Great Britain on their tour Down Under.

Chamberlain said: “I am really looking forward to getting some game time down here in London. The switch to the capital has been made a lot easier, for me, already knowing a couple of the lads that are playing here.”

The Ireland international has previously played alongside ex-Widnes duo Olly Ashall-Bott and Dan Norman.
