Salford stun sloppy St Helens

Salford have recorded their first Super League win of 2016 in impressive fashion, dominating St Helens 44-10 at the Aj Bell Stadium.

Salford were poor in round one against Hull FC but tonight they blew the visitors off the park.

The Red Devils ran out to a 18-0 lead after just 13 minutes and never looked like losing.

Halves partnership Michael Dobson and Robert Lui ran the show and Salford had a 32-6 lead at the break.

Justin Carney was hard to contain and St Helens struggled to find any rhythm.

The home team piled on three more tries in the second half. Niall Evalds picked up a double.

It got worse for Saints when Mark Percival was forced from the field with a left knee injury.
