Salford have signed youngsters Connor Aspey, Luis Roberts and Jamie Abram ahead of the relaunched Reserves League.

Aspey and Roberts have been part of Salford Red Devils Foundation’s development academy side, which is based at Eccles Sixth Form College.

Abram – the son of former Leigh and Rochdale coach Darren Abram – re-joins Salford after a spell in Warrington’s academy.

Aspey, Roberts and Abram played their junior rugby at Hindley, Folly Lane and Latchford Giants respectively.

Salford will run a reserve team in 2020 – but they will be the only English Super League club to not have an Under-18s team participating in the Academy Championship.
