Salford sign Ryan McGoldrick and Rhys Williams

Salford have completed the signing of free agent Ryan McGoldrick and Warrington’s Rhys Williams on loan.

McGoldrick, 32, spent the second half of last season at Hull, after seven years at Castleford, and hooks up with the Reds ahead of their Super League opener against Wigan on Friday.

He is joined by Williams, who moves from Warrington on an initial month’s loan deal.

The Welsh winger scored four tries in eight appearances for Castleford in a similar spell last season.

In 2011, he scored three tries in six games on loan at Crusaders, and since making his Warrington debut in 2010, Williams has crossed for 17 tries in 23 appearances for the Wolves.
