Salford sign Iain Thornley from Wigan

Salford have signed Iain Thornley from Wigan until the end of the 2015 season.

The 23-year-old centre has been playing for Workington in the Championship this season, as he has struggled to make any impact at all on Shaun Wane’s first team.

“As soon as we realised that such a top young prospect like Iain was available the club jumped at the chance,” said Salford coach Ian Watson.

“He will add depth and competition in our already established back line-up as we seek to build a quality squad to tackle the Middles 8s.”
