Salford have signed Francis Meli on a one year deal for 2014.

Meli, 34, will leave St Helens after seven years at the club.

The winger joined Saints from Auckland Warriors in 2006 and has scored 376 points in 141 games.

Reds owner Marwan Koukash believes Meli is another good signing for the club.

He said, “Meli has been a very consistent performer in Super League. Players like this can bring so much to the squad and the dressing room environment.

“He had a very impressive game against Salford the other week and we are getting another very good professional.

“I said the same thing about Adrian Morley – these men can greatly influence other members of the squad.”
