Salford sign centre from Sale Sharks
Salford have signed centre Jordan Davies from Sale Sharks rugby union club on an 18-month deal.
Davies, 23, previously played rugby league for the Eccles amateur club before converting to rugby union, where he also played for Leeds Carnegie and spent a year playing in New Zealand.
Head Coach Brian Noble said: “Jordan comes highly rated but we certainly don’t want to heap pressure on him.
“He has played rugby league before when he was 16, a lot has changed since then so we will let him settle in to the way we do things.
“He will be having a look at us over the next 18 months as we are at him. He’s an exciting prospect.”
The Bolton-born player will train with the Reds for the first time on Thursday.
