Salford’s players and match day staff remain in self-isolation following the coronavirus outbreak at Hull earlier this week.

The Red Devils beat Hull at the weekend, and although all of their tests on Monday came back negative, have taken precautions to minimise rise.

The club has confirmed that additional tests will be taken by all match day staff today (Friday), Monday August 17 and Thursday August 20.

A club statement said: “All tests carried out on Salford Red Devils players and staff have returned with negative results.

“Further analysis through the RFL’s track and trace system has identified 13 individuals required to self-isolate, in line with Public Health England advice. This follows Sunday’s match, in which five of the Hull FC players involved later tested positive.

“At this stage, the Club has taken the decision for all matchday staff to self-isolate until more information is known on the impact.”
