Salford release McGoldrick

Salford have released Ryan McGoldrick with immediate effect.

McGoldrick, 32, joined the Reds at the start of 2013 on a two-year deal, and made 20 appearances for the club.

A statement said: “We would like to thank Ryan for his efforts last season and wish him well in the future.”

The Australian, who has been named in the USA squad for the World Cup, has previously played for Cronulla, Castleford and Hull.
