Salford Red Devils have confirmed the signing of half-back Jack Littlejohn from Wests Tigers on a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old made his NRL debut back in 2014 with Manly Sea Eagles, going onto play five games for the club before moving to Wests Tigers, where he has spent the last two seasons, making 16 appearances.

Loverugbyleague.com last week reported Salford’s interest in Littlejohn in the weekly Rugby League Rumours and Gossip feature.

Littlejohn will arrive in the UK on Monday and will immediately link up with his new teammates for pre-season training.

And Red Devils CEO Ian Blease thinks Salford have found the perfect replacement for Michael Dobson, who has departed the club and returned to his native Australia.

Blease said: “I was extremely impressed with Jack’s attitude when Ian Watson and myself spoke to him.

“I have no doubt he’s going to be a terrific addition to the squad.

“We have been on the lookout for a quality replacement for Michael Dobson and believe we have found him. Jack is coming over to make a name for himself and all the Salford fans should be extremely excited to see him in action this coming season.”
