Salford director Paul King has confirmed that star full-back Niall Evalds will leave the club at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has signed a one-year contract with Castleford for 2021, according to League Express.

Evalds has been with the Red Devils since 2013, scoring 101 tries in 146 appearances for the club.

The full-back, who has gained international honours with England Knights, has emerged as one of Super League’s most exciting players in recent years and his move to Mend-A-Hose Jungle will come as a bitter blow to Salford supporters.

King said: “We made him a fantastic offer but he has chosen to go elsewhere for 2021.

“Its disappointing but thats sport. We move on.”
