Salford coach Harris hails ‘world-class’ Rangi Chase

Salford coach Iestyn Harris has praised Rangi Chase, after a moment of sublime skill from the England international created a match-winning try against Hull FC on Saturday.

Chase produced a dummy and off-load combination that was so good it was almost inexplicable, to create a try for Josh Griffin.

The Red Devils went on to win the game 32-28, and Harris was pleased that Chase showed such deadly form.

“Rangi was superb and when he’s in that sort of form he’s world class,” Harris said, according to BBC Sport.

“He created opportunities for himself and others round him to make the opponents nervous.

“It doesn’t surprise me because I see him do it every day at training. He can win games and he did exactly that tonight.

“We had four of five players out and then had to reshuffle when Niall Evalds and Mason Caton-Brown went off.

“It wasn’t pretty at times but the result was very pleasing because Hull are a good team.”
