Warrington welcomed back their big boys in style as their season finally threatens to kick off following a 50-18 of relegation haunted Salford.

The Wolves have been dogged by injury all season, but the return of international players in the form of Paul Johnson and Adrian Morley seems to have finally sparked a bit of life in to the team after a dismal campaign to date.

They scored 10 tries to condemn Salford to their ninth defeat of the season and leave the Reds favourites for relegation.

Johnson, Lee Briers, Vinnie Anderson and Henry Fa'afili scored tries in the first half, to see the Wolves go in 18-6 at the break, disappointing kicking from Briers keeping the score respectable.

But in the second half, Warrington cut loose, with Stuart Reardon, a brace from Martin Gleeson, Richie Barnett, a second for Vinnie Anderson and a try from Jon Clarke guiding the Wolves to a half century of points, and the biggest win of the Millennium Magic weekend.

Kevin McGuinness and Andrew Brocklehurst replied for Salford, who now look in trouble at the foot of Super League, with the teams above them threatening to pull away.
