Salford captain Lee Mossop receives one-match ban

Salford captain Lee Mossop has been given a one-match ban for a tripping offence.

The prop forward was sin-binned for a trip on Wakefield hooker Kyle Wood during his side’s 28-20 win in their final match of the season at Headingley last Friday.

It was ruled a Grade B offence by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel, which also charged Wakefield hooker Harry Bowes with a Grade A offence of dangerous contact on Mossop earlier in the game.

Bowes avoided a suspension while Mossop will be able to serve his ban in a pre-season friendly.
