Saints send Hand and Fozard out on loan

St Helens have confirmed that Jordan Hand has joined Wakefield Wildcats on a month-long loan deal.

Saints have also sent Matty Fozard on a month’s loan to Batley Bulldogs.

There is no early recall clause in either loan deal.

“Both Matty and Jordan need to be playing regularly,” Saints chief cxecutive Mike Rush said.

“There is strong competition for places in the squad at St Helens and therefore we are more than grateful to Batley and Wakefield for agreeing to these moves.

“We will monitor their progress and of course wish them luck for the next month.”

Hand was due to spend some time at Whitehaven this season, but a change of coaching staff at the Cumbrian club means that Saints are exploring other options regarding dual registration.
