Saints hitting form at right time, says Turner

St Helens centre Jordan Turner believes they are hitting form at the right time, ahead of the end of season run-in.

The 52-10 win over Salford on Friday secured back-to-back wins for Nathan Brown’s men for the first time since March.

It gives them a three-point cushion in the final play-off spot, and they host HUll KR this weekend, with the chance to leapfrog their opponents in the league table.

Turner told the club’s official website: “The Hull KR game is important for us now with where we are in the table. We need to make sure we get higher up as there aren’t many games left.

“We need to win as many as we can and I feel we are hitting form at the right time.”

St Helens lost twice to Hull KR in April, going down 22-14 in the league before losing 26-18 in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup.

They still have to welcome local rivals Wigan and Warrington to Langtree Park before the end of the regular season.
