Hull KR forward Ryan Lannon has returned to Salford on a month’s loan swap deal which sees prop Daniel Murray go in the opposite direction.

Lannon, 23, came through the ranks at Salford making more than 50 appearances, before leaving for KCOM Craven Park at the end of last season.

Coach Ian Watson said:

“Ryan knows about our club and what we expect and he’s also a very good player, who we didn’t really want to lose.

“He’s ready to come back here. He wants to come back and he wants to put his best performances out on show at Salford, because he feels this is where he was playing his best rugby.

“The fact that he plays second-row and middle gives us options too.”

“Dan’s lost his place in our team and we need him to get some more game time and work on a few things that we want him to be better at, to get into our first team.

“The fact that there’s another Super League team who want him keeps him developing at the right level for us.”

Lannon has previously spent time on loan with North Wales, Halifax and Oldham.

Murray, 23, has made 32 first team appearances for the Red Devils, and has spent time on loan with Rochdale, Bradford, Halifax and Oldham.
