Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall says the reason Leeds have failed to win a Challenge Cup is because of their poor starts.

The Rhinos have been beaten in the last two cup finals agaisnt Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors, and are aiming for third time lucky against the Wolves on Saturday at Wembley.

Hall said: “The first year we just got blown off the park, we didn’t give a good impression of ourselves.

“Last year Wigan started really well and we started poorly. Hopefully we can start a little bit better and get ourselves in the game that will suit us.”

Hall says he is fortunate to have been given another chance of coming away from Wembley with the Challenge Cup.

He said: “Coming away with a losers medal is not something you hold for the rest of your life, so luckily we have an opportunity this weekend to do something about it.”

The 24-year old is relishing the atmosphere at Wembley and believes sense of occasion is really special, and likes the fact supporters from other teams can be seen cheering on the Rhinos.

He said: “It’s a great event, where all the fans come out and support it. Maybe a few Saints fans will be supporting us, which would be nice!

“When their team is not in the final it’s nice to see people show their support for everyone else.”
