Ryan Bailey is set to be reunited with former Leeds team-mate and pal Brett Delaney after joining Featherstone on a six-week trial.

Bailey, 34, split last season between Workington Town and Leigh having left Toronto Wolfpack on the eve of the season.

He has endured a somewhat nomadic career since he left Headingley after 307 appearances in 2014, also playing for Hull KR, Castleford and Warrington.

His next move is to join Rovers on trial, with former team-mate Jordan Tansey having recently joined the Championship side on similar terms.

Bailey said: “I just want to win them (the supporters) over really, like I do at most clubs.

“Everyone’s got a persona of me, but I just want to win the Featherstone fans over and have a great year.

“I’ll add experience in the pack guiding young fellas in the wrestle and their skills and just a lot of talk.

“As long as we’re a close knit group we’ll do well this year.”
