Rugby League Touch tournament to start in Warrington

Latchford Albion are proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Rugby Leagues 9’s Touch Festival at the Asics Victoria Arena on 28 October 2017.

The event, which is hoped to be an annual fixture, will this year be a fundraiser for local player Alex Green, a former Albion and Crosfields player and son of Jimmy Green who spent many years as player and then coach at Latchford.

Alex was injured whilst abroad and the club are trying to raise essential funds to aid with his rehabilitation.

The festival is open to clubs, organisations or anybody wishing to enter a team. It is hoped a team of current Wolves players will also be entered into the tournament.

The tournament will be coordinated by Mike Byron of Latchford (07769 788 995) and Dave Reid of Crosfields (07954 256 369) who can assist with any information required ahead of the event and for registration as teams must be registered and confirmed prior to the event date.
