  1. Toulouse, Leigh, Featherstone, even Widnes, Halifax, and others other might make such a claim. Maybe a single season conceit like the Barbarians be used to fulfil fixtures? Drawn from players from Toronto, the championship, free agents, etc fulfil the fixtures vacated. The players are paid from gate receipts for “home” games, but matches staged in expansion areas or places that haven’t had a Super League club.

    It would avoid end of season arguments, get done players playing, allow fixtures to be completed.

    A one off set of shirts might sell well.
