Paul Sculthorpe, Keith Senior and Mick Cassidy are among the rugby league legends that will take to the boxing ring at the Reebok Stadium later this month.

Eight players will compete for the title of “Rugby league Fight Champion 2013” on Wednesday 27th February 2013, with a grand prize of £10,000 and fundraising for Joining Jack.

Paul “The Saint” Sculthorpe, Keith “The Chief” Senior and Mick “Butch” Cassidy will be joined by Alan “The Assassin” Hunte and Lee “Raging Bull” Radford, as well as Ian Sibbit, Sean Casey and Timmy Street.

The fighters will be drawn at random in a Prizefighter concept and will face three matches to win the money and be crowned ‘Rugby League Fight Champion 2013’ – the hardest in rugby league.

The evening will be raising money for Joining Jack, a charity dedicated to funding research and development for Duchenne Muscular Disorder (DMD). The founder of Joining Jack is former Wigan Warriors player Andy Johnson who together with a dedicated group of friends from the Rugby League community is trying to raise awareness and money in order to find a cure for DMD.

Rugby League Fight Champion is being co-organised by Rugger in the Ring and St Helens legend Sean Long.
