Rudd signs new Whitehaven deal

Whitehaven have today announced that stand-off Carl Rudd has agreed a new one-year deal with the West Cumbrian outfit.

The 29-year-old joined Haven in 2004 and was pivitol to the club’s success as a top Championship side in 2005 and 2006, where they reached the Grand Final on both occasions.

Haven’s new Australian coach, Don Gailer, was hoping to bring in stand-off Joe Bond from the Redcliffe Dolphins, but the Papua New Guinea man was denied a work permit.

Haven have also announced that energetic hooker Carl Sice has also agreed terms for the 2012 season.
