Rowley: We’re not arrogant

Toronto coach Paul Rowley says the Wolfpack aren’t getting carried away with their 76-0 round one win over London Skolars.

Toronto opened their account on Saturday with a huge victory.

“It was the perfect start. We reminded people that we are not a bad side,” Rowley told The Toronto Star.

“We have got some good attackers and, on a fast track like that, we could play a good brand of rugby.

“But our defence was strong too. We didn’t just stop them, we were quite brutal at times.”

Despite the big win, Rowley said his side is grounded.

The Wolfpack face Whitehaven in round two.

“People want to knock us off our perch,” he said.

“They want us to be arrogant. But we are not. We are humble and grounded.”
