Rochdale’s Langley fined £100

Rochdale Hornets player Gareth Langley has been fined £100 for inappropriate use of social media by the RFL.

The player posted some material on Twitter which has breached the code of conduct for players.

An RFL statement reads:

“Tweets posted on June 19, 2015 were deemed to be in breach of RFL Operational Rules D1.1(b) improper conduct; C2.3 failur to adhere to code of conduct; the RFL’s Respect Policy; and the RFL’s Social Media Policy.

“Mr Langley has until July 17, 2015 to appeal the decision.”
