Rochdale have re-signed prop Luke Fowden on a one-year deal.

The prop played for the Hornets during the 2016 season after previously playing for amateur club Rochdale Mayfield.

He made his debut for the Hornets against Toulouse in the 2016 season.

Fowden then enjoyed a spell in rugby union with Fylde after coming through the academy at Super League side Salford, where he spent five years.

During his time at the Hornets, Fowden spent time on loan at Hunslet and he has now put pen to paper on a deal with Matt Calland’s Rochdale side for 2020.
