Rochdale have signed Callum Ogden and James Connaughton for the 2020 season.
Hooker Ogden arrives at the Hornets from League 1 rivals Doncaster, having previously playing junior rugby at Rochdale Mayfield.
Ogden said: “I’m delighted to have signed for my hometown club and I’m looking forward to playing under Matt Calland again.
“I can’t wait to rip in with the boys and hopefully have a successful 2020 season.”
Front-rower Connaughton has been playing amateur rugby for Rochdale Mayfield. He has toured Serbia with Lancashire, as well as Canada with GB Police.
Connaughton added: “I’m looking forward to making the transition to a higher level.
“I’m hoping to make a positive impact for the club in 2020.”
